Get to Know Amelia
Amelia is based in Plattsburgh NY - in Northern New York (way Upstate) but her professional home studio can connect to you wherever you are in the world.
Her voice is described as warm, friendly, conversational, and some say sophisticated with authority but always genuine and can bring a human feel to your project. She can be sincere and authentic or energetic and bubbly as needed. Her voiceover work ranges from digital ads, commercials, radio imaging, event narration, telephone systems messaging services (IVR), eLearning, corporate training and explainer videos - including online orientation for students at the local college.
She’s known for her responsiveness to clients, excellent communication skills (some say her superpower), high-attention to detail and providing a quick-turn around for projects.
She is also available for in-person on-camera work in the Adirondacks, the North Country, Burlington VT, and Montreal with experience as an extra in films and roles for internal business videos.

Her life experiences bring an authentic, real-world voice to your project:
-
Musical Theater and vocal training. Need some singing in your project? She has a beautiful alto voice
-
Master's degree in Applied Linguistics (TESOL). She can speak French and Portuguese decently, and is a former educator
-
Higher-Ed Professional. Almost 20 years of experience in a variety of student support roles.
Fun Fact: Lived, worked, studied, and traveled to 5 different continents! First as a Rotary Exchange Student (French-speaking part of Belgium), then as a Peace Corps Volunteer (Mozambique in Southeastern Africa) and later as a recruiter for international students for U.S. colleges and universities.
Not-so-Fun Fact: Breast cancer survivor, while pregnant… yep, her daughter was born with more hair than her; which also means that Medical terms don't scare her.
When not behind the mic in the padded room in the basement, you can find her…

Skiing in the Adirondacks, Vermont, or even Quebec
-
Camping in her ’96 Airstream
-
Cruising Lake Champlain in her ‘98 Sea Ray (yes, this girl can drive a boat!)
-
Succumbing to one of her aquaholic urges (that habit of keeping a spare swimsuit in the car when suddenly compelled to jump into an inviting lake)
